Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)

Be still in order to receive what God has for you

Exodus 14:14 KJV
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Psalm 46:10 NIV
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Being still can mean many things. But there's something about when God says to us "be still". Being still is a command. It's a command to trust him and him only. A command to not worry, a command to still our thoughts and our actions, and meditate on what he has told us in his word.

We must learn to be still in order to truly receive what God has in store for us. Think about it, everytime God instructs us in the word to be still, his plan always unfolds. From fightingto winning battles, to being exalted, he wants us to be still because when we choose to be still, we tell him I trust you, I'm going to obey you and I'm not going to worry about it because you got me. Be still. Learn to still your thoughts, your actions, your heart, your words, your mind and allow God to do what he has to do. The more we move at times the more we interfere with his divine order and plan for our lives but by being still we are able to gain focus and direction from him. It's time to be still and relax knowing that he will fulfill all of his promises in his word.
