Pain - who wants to go through pain? NOBODY! Whether it is physical pain, emotional pain or spiritual pain we all want an antidote for pain. We never really want it to be a part of our lives. But how many of you know that however you react to pain is a choice. Yes a choice! Why do I say that? Because you can either use pain as a fuel for victory or defeat. Whenever you're in pain what do you think about? Do you just wallow in the feeling of pain and throw yourself a pity party whining and complaining (DEFEAT) or do you choose to not focus so much on how you feel but focus on fueling that pain to gain victory? If you really think about it, I think that you would agree with wanting to implement the latter. God told Eve after her disobedience of eating of the tree of good and evil that she would bear children in pain. If Eve didn't go through some pain we wouldn't be here today. So at times we have to go through pain in order to gain victory so that others may be blessed and that God may be glorified no matter what the outcome might be. Job went through alot of emotional and physical pain but because of what he went through we now have a great story to go reflect on reminding us of how great of a restorer God is. So look at pain as a fuel for victory and not defeat!

- Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)
