I was spending some time with one of my friends and her son and her son kept asking her for something and she said "NO." After a few attempts, she turned around and asked him "What did I say?" Right there the begging and pleading ceased and the attempts came to an end. I was then taken back to the concept of parents and children. When parents tell us something they mean what they say whether it be yes or no to something that we ask. It's the same way when we go before God, our heavenly Father and we start complaining about things that aren't going quite the way we want it to go in our lives, He's probably looking down from Heaven asking "What did I say?" But God I got bills to pay and I'm worried about things that are going on and I just don't know how things are going to end and He says WHAT DID I SAY? Didn't I say that I'll supply all of you needs according to my riches in Glory? Didn't I say not to worry about what you shall eat or drink? Didn't I say not to be anxious about anything but with prayer and supplication make your requests known through my son Jesus? Didn't I say that all things work together for good to those that Love me, who are called according to my purpose??
So the next time I go before my heavenly Father and I'm tempted to question His word and things that are going on in my life I hear these words quite often "WHAT DID I SAY" and it prompts me to go to His word and remind myself of what He says because it's time I allow the word of God and what HE says have dominion over my life. Amen!

- Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)
