Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)

Being blind in order to see

Hebrews 11:1 NKJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

As I meditate and pay close attention to this scripture, I realize that I've been missing the true essence of it's meaning which is I have to intentionally make myself blind to my present circumstances in order to see what I hope for. If faith is the evidence of things not seen and not being able to see indicates being blind, that means I have to be blind to certain things in order to see what I am hoping for. I have to be blind to me being broke in order to hope for and receive my financial breakthrough, I have to be blind to every single physical circumstance that is against the word of God in order to see what I hope for in the spirit. I must choose to be blind to those things that I see with my natural eyes; you know those things that distract me and discourage me in the physical and choose to see those things that I can't see with my spiritual eyes; the things that will elevate me and encourage me in the spirit. In order to hope, I must blind myself from what I can see and turn my eyes to what I can't see, those things which are intangible, the things that I hope for.

Choosing to be blind is not easy in the flesh but I guarantee you that if you ask the Lord for help to blind what you can see, no matter how hard it may seem, and lift your eyes up to the hills, the hope of our salvation from whence cometh our help you will begin to see the greater things that God has for you in the spirit and once you start hoping for those desires that please him, the ones he personally places in your heart for his glory, he will fulfill his promise in bringing those very same things to pass.

  1. Good Stuff! Ive never looked at that Scripture that way but your points fit. If we are going to walk by faith our eyes cant be on things we see. You are on it
