2 Timothy 4:3-4 (King James Version)
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
According to thefreedictionary.com one of the many meanings of "itch" is a desire - the feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state. What are you unsatisfied about today? What desire of yours has been relentless and unanswered? Get rid of that itch! The more your itch and complain and dwell on your unsatisfied state, the more you will turn your ears away from the truth (the word of God) and turn to fables (the deception of the enemy).
Get rid of that itch! Stop complaining! Don't you know that complaining opens up the gates to the devils camping ground? All he wants you to do is to start itching and complaining of what's not going right and what's not going on in your life and to focus on all of the wrong negative things that he's full of. Think about it the devil's strategy is to see how long he can keep you there with him worshipping with him in his camp, complaining about everything, then once you become an active participant, he has you exactly where he wants you. But God wants you to trust him and thank him for everything that he's done already, everything he's doing right now and everything he promised he will do for you in the the future. He never goes back on his word and he cannot lie.
I mean come on think about it. Ask yourself, what's God's track record? And take an honest inventory of your life and how he's proven himself to you over and over again. He does not want us to complain but instead to think about the things that bring us joy and give him praise! Come on now, don't you think you've worshipped with the devil long enough complaining in his camp ground? I think it's time you turn everything that you've been itching and complaining about over to Christ! TIME TO GET RID OF THAT ITCH AND RELIEVE IT WITH THE CALMING BALM OF HIS PRESENCE AND HIS WORD!

- Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)
