For most of my life I understood this passage of scripture found in Rom 6:23 to just mean physical death like " If I commit a sin I am going to physically die" but then I came into the understanding that death occurs not just in the physical realm but in the spiritual realm. Do you agree that you can be physically alive yet spiritually dead? Take for instance, fornication (sin) can lead to death of your spirit and your temple. That's why when you fornicate(sin)and act outside the will of God, your'e dead to the spirit unless you repent and discontinue the act. Another example is if I lack love and is not acting out of obedience in love (sin) I can be dead to love (1 Cor 13). Also, I can be dead to faith if I don't operate in hope and belief (disobedience/sin) and if I choose not to listen to the Word of God. Also I can be dead to hope if I have nothing to look forward to, no visions, no dreams of anything.
The unwillingness of anything that God instructs you to do creates death in certain areas of your life. Death to certain areas of our lives stem from our continuous disobedience to his voice, his word, his laws and his precepts. Are you dying to anything today? Maybe you should check your disobedience/sin guage and what part of your spiritual life you're being reluctant to and repent so that you can be made alive again in the spirit of Christ.

- Hello and welcome to a place of Spiritual Refuge. A place where you can come and meditate on the word of God as it encourages and empowers you to live on top of the world everyday. I've always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child. Now I'm an adult I've decided to allow God to use one of the many gifts he's given me to encourage and create a place of spiritual refuge for the discouraged, broken hearten and those who at times feel they have no hope. I thank God for all of the gifts that he has given me and my greatest intent is for me to give them back to him by using them for his Glory. Enjoy, be encouraged and inspired. Lorraine B :)
